I enter freely and willingly into this agreement as a Choose-Verified Instructor and understand that I have the right to terminate my involvement in the Choose platform at any time.

Furthermore, I understand that Choose Empowerment may terminate this agreement at any time, and that policies and waivers may be updated at any time without notice. A documented list of current policies may be requested from hello@choose-empowerment.com and may also be found in the instructor portal.

I confirm that all information provided (eg. certifications, credentials, experience) in my instructor profile is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

I understand that as a Choose-Verified Instructor I am an independent contractor to Choose Empowerment, and my involvement shall not be construed to create any association, partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between myself and Choose Empowerment for any purpose.

I shall not make agreements on Choose Empowerment’s behalf except as specifically permitted in our agreement or by separate, written, prior authorization from the CEO.

I understand that under this agreement I am not eligible to participate in any vacation, group medical or life insurance, disability, profit sharing, or retirement benefits, or any other fringe benefits or benefit plans offered by Choose Empowerment to its employees, and Choose Empowerment will not be responsible for withholding or paying any income, payroll, pension, government program, or other employment-related taxes, making any insurance contributions, including unemployment or disability, or obtaining worker’s compensation insurance on my behalf.

Without the prior written consent of Choose Empowerment’s CEO, I understand that I have no right to and will not make any public statement (whether written or verbal) on behalf of Choose Empowerment or be held out as having authority to represent or speak on behalf of Choose Empowerment.

I confirm that I have the required skill, experience, and qualifications to provide Empowerment Self-Defense training, and that I will facilitate classes in a professional and ethical manner, in accordance with ESD community standards. (See codes of ethics here and here.)

I also confirm that I will provide my trainings in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in my country of operation.

I understand that I am solely responsible for any travel or other costs or expenses associated with providing my classes, and in no event shall Choose Empowerment be obliged to reimburse me for any costs or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, healthcare, wireless services, computers, phones, office supplies, and travel expenses.

Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, I understand that I must coordinate at my own expense expense class locations, equipment, supplies, and other materials that I need to provide my classes, and in no event shall Choose Empowerment be obliged to reimburse me for any such costs or expenses.

I authorize Choose Empowerment to receive payment from Students on my behalf, and I understand that payouts will be made at the end of each month, but receipt of payments may be delayed depending on my bank’s policies.

I understand that my use of the platform is free (creating my instructor profile and listing classes), but that Choose Empowerment may charge a “platform fee” on each class booking, to be calculated before payouts.

I release CHOOSE Empowerment from any liability in the event of injury or loss before, during, and after classes per the Liability Release Waiver
